Suzzanne Uhland has achieved much success as Partner in the Newport Beach and San Francisco offices of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, an international law firm with 14 locations. Suzzanne Uhland contributes to the practice’s restructuring business, where she provides advice regarding sales and distressed transactions, handles Chapter 11 reorganizations, and represents buyers and sellers in US Bankruptcy Code Section 363(b) matters.

Suzzanne Uhland brings considerable experience to her current role. She has represented private and public companies’ creditors, debtors-in-possession (DIP), and DIP lenders in bankruptcy cases; private equity fund clients in portfolio company restructurings and distressed investments; and property managers, real estate lenders, and owners in a variety of cases. She acted as a key figure in the reorganization of one of Orange County’s largest office complexes. In addition, she belongs to O’Melveny & Myers Policy Committee and leads the Restructuring Practice.

A graduate of Yale University, where she received her Juris Doctor and acted as Co-editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal on Regulation, Suzzanne Uhland earned a Master’s degree from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with distinction. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she possesses a stellar educational record. Following Yale, she acted as a Law Clerk for the US District Court of the Central District of California’s Honorable Mariana R. Pfaelzer and as an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern Law School, where she taught courses in Secured Transactions.
