Somewhere in 2012 I realised that I was participating actively in a strange story about people being persuaded to spent money they don't have on things they don't need to create impressions that don't last on people they don't care about..

I learned that time and energy are the most valuable currencies you have. I feel strongly that working behind a desk realising someone else's dream is not the best way for me to spend these two. Therefore I have chosen to create a lifestyle that revolves around entrepreneurship, travel and my family.

My goal is to create more freedom for myself and others by traveling the world, working smart(er) and sharing what I learn. I coach and teach startups and entrepreneurs in their early stages of idea and company development.

Wonderlijk Werken is the name of the dutch company that I run together with my wife Diana. We help aspiring entrepreneurs to design a lifestyle for themselves where they live more and more on their terms. Together we have trained and coached over two hundred starting entrepreneurs. Fun fact: we have done this while traveling (very slowly) through sixteen countries over the last eight years. Mexico is the country that really stole our hearts and the second place after the Netherlands we call ‘home’.

The Wide Open Road is our travel blog where we write about our adventures on the road as digital nomads, how we deal with challenges such as education for our children and we share realtime pictures of our trips since we don't use any social media like Facebook or Instagram.
