Tabber Benedict

Tabber Benedict currently lives in Manhattan’s West Village and works as a lawyer focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions as well as consulting and advisory services. He previously worked at ACE Group, an international insurance company and at several international law firms including White & Case LLP . Mr. Benedict appreciates all New York City has to offer, particularly the dynamic culinary scene. An art lover, he supports the Museum of the City of New York, the Lincoln Center, and the Nature Conservancy. He also enjoys membership in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Tabber Benedict regularly attends the historic Grace Church in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Tabber Benedict earned his Juris Doctor at Manhattan’s Columbia University School of Law, where he distinguished himself academically. A winner of the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar award all three years of law school, Mr. Benedict maintained a strong academic record and was ranked in the upper 25% of his class each year. He participated in Columbia’s prestigious Business Law Review, served in the Student Senate, and worked on a pro bono project in New Orleans in his third year. Prior to his current independent position, Tabber Benedict held the title of Vice President at ACE and handled mergers & acquisitions for all private, public, domestic, or international deals, as well as securities, capital markets, and general corporate legal matters. His responsibilities included coordinated Securities and Exchange Commission filings as well as negotiating and drafting all manner of transactional agreements, term sheets, and bids. Mr. Benedict also supported governance functions for ACE Group’s parent company, ACE Limited, and all ACE Limited subsidiaries. His work in this area included drafting board of directors resolutions for the annual proxy, general, and special meetings. Tabber Benedict, a former World TeamTennis amateur and member of the United States Tennis Association, plays squash and tennis for exercise and led his corporate team at White & Case LLP to corporate nationals in Indian Wells one year. Tabber enjoys traveling as well as volunteering and supporting charities. He is currently raising money for this October's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, for which he will walk in tribute to those who have battled with cancer.
