Tachi Yamada

Tokyo, Japan.

A medical professional with a research focus on gastroenterological matters, Dr. Tadataka “Tachi” Yamada began preparing for his career as a student at Stanford University, where he received a bachelor of arts in history. Following this, he gained acceptance to the New York University School of Medicine and received a doctor of medicine. Later, he received training in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He then joined the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, where he served as an investigator. Following this, Dr. Tachi Yamada pursued gastroenterological training at the UCLA School of Medicine. At present, he utilizes his diverse educational background previous experience as chief medical and scientific officer at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Tokyo, Japan.

In addition to fulfilling his professional responsibilities, Dr. Tadataka Yamada devotes time, energy, and resources to a number of philanthropic and civic-minded endeavors. He has served on the board for several notable organizations, including the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Reagan-Udall Foundation, and the Franklin Institute.
