A Photographer specializing in Creative + Documentary photography. To paraphrase the description of one of my favorite photographers, Sam Abell, my style of photography is documentary in the sense that I record the world around me. However, I feel my best work has transcendent qualities, starting at the documentary level yet open to interpretation on an aesthetic level.

A book of my photographs was published by Matar Books and MoD Publishing House. The book examines the landscape and people of Israel as captured at night - from sunset to sunrise.

I am inspired by many photographers but the following stand out (in no particular order):

Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jim Brandenburg, Micha Bar Am, Pete McBride, Jim Richardson, Sam Abell and William Albert Allard.

Favorite Quotes:

"Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop."

Ansel Adams

"My best work is often almost unconscious and occurs ahead of my ability to understand it."

Sam Abell

“What we need is more people who specialize in the impossible.”

Theodore Roethke
