Tammy Tibbetts

Educate a girl and she can change the world.

Jo March: I find it poor logic to say that because women are good, women should vote. Men do not vote because they are good; they vote because they are male, and women should vote, not because we are angels and men are animals, but because we are human beings and citizens of this country.
Mr. Mayer: You should have been a lawyer, Miss March.
Jo March: I should have been a great many things, Mr. Mayer.

That's my favorite part of my favorite movie, Little Women. Perhaps this little gap-toothed girl you see should have been a great many things, too, but what she grew up to be was founder & president of She's the First, a non-profit sponsoring girls' education and connecting students worldwide. Yep, that's me. :-) I also co-founded GIRLS WHO ROCK, the largest fundraiser for She's the First, held during Internet Week New York. By day, I am the social media editor of Seventeen.

I love using and evangelizing social media, both as a professional teenager and as I'm trying to find my place within an extraordinary league of Millennial leaders. This page is like the door to my world of social good, girls' education, hummus, everyday epiphanies, caffeinated drinks, Taylor Swift tunes, tie-dye cupcakes, collegiate curiosity, and DIY world change. Welcome!
