I met a lot of HIV+ women in Kenya. They are discriminated against by their friends, family and husband, and isolated from society. I had never seen the marginalized and impoverished women. Their lives were far different from my life in Japan and I was surprised and discouraged. I learned a lot of issues regarding HIV in Africa and their culture there.

I started a project in Kenya, "Fabric sanitary pad project" with HIV+ women for their income generation hoping to creating a new network to society. Since many girls in LDCs do not afford to buy sanitary pads and they are obliged to be absent from schools and lose their education opportunities during their periods.

My primary skill comes from my experience. As a female person coming from a developed country, Japan, I noticed I'd been too ignorant about the facts; how I am privileged.

I'd tried to launch my own project for the marginalized people in Kenya, but I kind of failed. Lack of my skill-sets; communication, networking and management, brought nothing for the community.
In the first place of distributing the pads, I knew their primary needs such as water and food, shelter, and security.
I, therefore, determined to work in a company producing water nozzle which could possibly save 95% of the water usage.
How it'll be great if we can save up enough water for our future generation? What if we don't need to sacrifice from water war?
No more water scarcity for us and especially whom living with little water.
