Inspiration to pursue a career in makeup came at an early age for Tanya Robertson. As a child she would carefully study the women on the first floor cosmetic departments to get a glimpse of the glamour they were sharing with their clients. While her friends were playing on the playground, Tanya could be found combing the latest magazines looking for current makeup and fashion trends.
It was an impulsive decision to change her hair color that lead Tanya to the MAC Cosmetics counter in the spring of 1996. Although she had been wearing the cosmetics prior, this time she was looking for a specific look. Day after day she went to the counter armed with questions, ready to learn new techniques, and build her skill level for personal use when one of the artists suggested she contact the Regional Area Manager about an available position. What happened next was nothing short of preparation meeting opportunity.
Over the last sixteen years, Tanya has had the opportunity to work with MAC, Nars, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, and many other prestigious make-up companies. She has lent her skills to videos, the Latin Grammys, various fashion publications, and several noted celebrities. Tanya's dedication to customer service lead her to founding Paparazzi Pretty, a company that provides beauty services on location for special events.
Tanya is passionate about sharing her knowledge with other beauty professionals and can be found mentoring aspiring artists or teaching classes in Houston and the surrounding areas.
