Based in Southern California, Tannie Duong ( T+Annie, Yeung) is a designer with a passion for illustration, production art, concept designing, graphic arts, and sock doll-making. One can say it started ever since she won a halloween pumpkin drawing contest in the second grade of elementary school, or her rendition of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in the fourth grade earned her the title of "teacher's pet." But needless to say, she was influenced by television and video games at an early age, and all things mystical and natural. She is an ex-retro gamer, has interests in the comic book industry (of which she hopes to get into one day), movies, cartoons, and animation (the other things that she wants to get into one day).
Her diet contains a healthy dose (translation: a lot) of chocolate, tea, and greens (yes, the vegetable kind), and manages to maintain a health food blog because cooking, graphic design, and photography are one of many hobbies.
She believes in green ideas, such as sustainability and environment care. (This also inadvertantly helped her win a $5000 scholarship from Target and American Architecture Foundation). In her bag, she carries extra, foldable shopping bags to reduce the consumption and usages of plastic bags. She wishes to someday have her own vegetables and fruits garden. Like seriously.
