MEDIA LECTURING & RESEARCH

I am a Critical Media Scholar and Practitioner with a passion for the use of creativity and art as research tools. My interests span the continuum of media audiences, media texts and media producers. I work with the ‘Creative Visual Research Method’, which engages participants in making a creative visual artifact as a reflective entry point into an exploration of themselves and their relationship with media culture.

MEDIA PROJECTS

I am the Founder of the 'Media Playhouse', a program which focuses on media and technology as an avenue for children’s creative expression. Media Playhouse creates a learning environment where children can learn to interact with the media as creators and critical viewers, generate ideas and use media to share those ideas, stretch their imagination, learn to dream bigger and explore possibilities.
