Tom Attwood

Tom Attwood trained as an Actor-Musician at Rose Bruford College, and works as an Actor, Music Director, Composer and Educator. His work in theatre includes Sleeping Beauty at The Birmingham Rep; The Star-Spangled Girl and Billy Bishop Goes to War at Frinton; Sweeney Todd at The Octagon Bolton; The Kissing-Dance at the Jermyn Street Theatre; The Habit Of Art at the National and on tour; Anyone Can Whistle at Jermyn Street; The original production of The History Boys at the National, West End, on international tour and Broadway; The Rink with 3rd year students at Mountview; Saturday Night (Time Out Critic's Choice) at Jermyn Street, which subsequently transferred to the Arts Theatre and Theatre Royal Windsor; Smith at the British Museum; Forever Plaid in Kuala Lumpur; Peter Pan at the Nuffield, Southampton; Spot’s Birthday Party at the Oxford Playhouse and on tour; The Threepenny Opera at the BAC and Bugsy Malone for the Bridewell. Radio includes The History Boys and Soldiers in the Sun both for BBC Radio 3. He has also written music for theatre including: King Lear at the Pendley Shakespeare Festival; Ours at the Finborough; Origin of the Species at the Arcola; Beauty and the Beast for Creation and incidental piano music for Posh at the Royal Court. Future work includes The Life with third year students at The Urdang Academy, From Up Here for Perfect Pitch at South Hill Park Arts Centre and Tomfoolery at Frinton.

Tom is currently in benefit with both Equity and the Musicians' Union.
