I teach and lead at King School, a PK-12 co-ed, independent day school in Stamford, CT.

I promote (and lower barriers to) enhancing pedagogy, instilling digital literacies, and streamlining institutional systems--often, but not always, using digital technologies.

I've taught independent schools since 2008 and believe deeply in capitalizing on our freedom to innovate teaching and learning.

In 2013-2014, I took a year away from teaching to earn a Master's in Private School Leadership through the Klingenstein Center at Teachers College, Columbia University. For undergrad, I studied English and History at Middlebury College, where I sang with The Dissipated Eight.

I tweet professionally as @MrTedP and blog at Anything But Expert. My wife Heather, also a teacher-leader, and I (occasionally) blog at Tandem Table and Larder about what's cooking.
