T. L. Kulesa

Life Coach, Photographer, and Designer in Riverside, California

Write something about myself? Sure, because people do not already think I'm overly vain.. Sarcastic? Yes, Witty? Usually. Coffee? Of course! Offended? Never! Fatherhood and Husbandry? Absolutely.
Favorite moment? When that girl in the night club I had been eying for months walked up to me and handed me a phone number, then told me it was her friends phone number. That friend, who I have now been married to since 1991.

Bio:

California native Ted Kulesa has a long history of creativity. At age 13 he discovered his love of art. In 1985 he took 1st place at the California state fair for a piece of furniture he created in wood shop. He was a featured artist his senior year in high school, where he combined airbrush and color pencil techniques. He also started his passion for digital art on a Macintosh with Macpaint in 1986.

In 1995 Ted made the decision to be a stay at home father, where he was able to raise his son and work on many of his creative projects. In that time he has freelanced web sites for schools & businesses, created business logos and started his passion for photography. “I initially started taking photographs so I could manipulate them in Photoshop (Then it was Paint Shop Pro as PS was too expensive for a hobbyist). Rather than steal someones work and change it, I preferred to start with an original piece.” says Ted “We were strapped for money, just having had a child and since we already had a computer, digital art was a cheap way for me to express myself artistically. It just seemed to evolve into photography & before I knew it I was buying a digital SLR.”

Today Ted can be found hanging out at Riverside’s Artwalk or one of the many small galleries in downtown Riverside. His camera usually on his side, anything can become subject matter. “People ask me what my forte is, but I have no reply. I’m creatively moody, it really just depends on the moment or if something catches my eye. I drink coffee the same way. Never the same twice, Some days cream some sugar, others black. It just depends on my mood.”

Ted is a kidney / pancreas transplant survivor since 1998. Most recently he received another kidney from his wife in December of 2014, where they participated in a paired exchange. He is married to wife of 25 years, Susanne. Together they have one son Jayse. Ted is available for logo design, photo retouching or any photographic or creative venture.
