Terrie Koles

A New York City-based interior designer, Terrie Koles applies her background in fine art and advertising to create unique residential spaces. Since opening her firm, Terrie Koles Design, LLC, she has orchestrated an array of design projects reflecting both modern and traditional aesthetics, recently renovating a 12,000 square-foot historical residence located on Long Island. Accustomed to consulting for clientele who maintain art collections, Ms. Koles remains respectful of the needs and taste of her various patrons.

Prior to launching her firm, Terrie Koles leveraged her artistic ability as an Art Director and Creative Director at leading advertising firms, such as BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, Deutsch Inc., Hill Holiday, and Saatchi & Saatchi. With a client list that included Rolling Rock Beer and Visa Gold, she served as the creative force behind much-admired national and international broadcast and print campaigns. Ms. Koles' career includes taking on leadership roles on then-groundbreaking 3-D "sensory" installations. The pioneering projects were produced for Starbucks, Nabisco, Royal Caribbean, Levi's, Unilever, and Time Warner Cable, and they appeared in Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. The installations generated front page coverage of Ms. Koles in the New York Times Business section.

Likewise, Ms. Koles' advertising work has been featured in Ad Age, Advertising Week, Archive Magazine, Communication Arts, and Newsday Magazine. Art Direction Magazine, which profiled her portfolio, noted the originality of her campaigns.

Terrie. Koles holds an MFA in Painting from The New York Academy of Art, where she studied with some of the art world's leading lights, such as Eric Fischl, Jenny Saville, and Vincent Desiderio.
