I provide consulting services to the video industry. I specialize in the positioning (and re-positioning) of companies in the advanced television space, as well as providing business and product development services.

My clients are frequently new to the US television business, and as I tell them (rather bluntly), "they don't know who to talk to, and when they get there they don't know what to say."

Lately I've been called on by companies, from the very large to the very small, to organize and run custom in-house "workshops" to help senior management gain perspective on the rapid changes in the television space. My goal is these sessions is not to simply convey information; it is to create understanding of the nuances of this rapidly evolving business, so that the workshop participants can see through the screaming headlines about the business and concentrate on the underlying movements.

I also moderate and speak on industry panels, and write a column, published weekly (usually . . . ) by Tracy Swedlow's itvt.com newsletter, under the name "The iTV Doctor." I try to provide my morning guests with a "good read" about the interactive television business. I frequently feature the companies and the people who drive the business, and sometimes dig into a particular topic that appears to be a tipping point.
