I arrived in Barcelona in 1988 as a musician before becoming an Applied Linguist and Teacher of English at the British Council and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I speak near-native level Catalan and Spanish. I am a published TEFL writer and conference speaker and am author of Going Native in Catalonia.
