Thomas Drance

I'm currently a full-time hockey writer based in Toronto, and an NHL News Editor at theScore Inc..

As a freelance hockey writer and reporter I've contributed to the Vancouver Province, The Vancouver Sun, The Sporting News, Vice Canada,, and Yahoo! Sports' Puck Daddy blog. I have covered games at the OHL, AHL and NHL level for a variety of outlets and have covered the NHL draft twice.

I have two years of professional experience as a full-time blog runner for the Nation Network. During that time I built up the most trafficked independent Canucks blog on the internet (; from a dormant property into a revenue generator with a large and engaged community.

With theScore I specialize in mobile first NHL news content. I was theScore's lead hockey news editor covering men's and women's ice hockey for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2009, I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
