Phyllis R. Thompson graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. UTSA and University of Southern Mississippi is where she has earned some graduate credits towards a Masters with a specialization in Adult Education.

She’s the Executive Director of her private business ~ Diversity Seminars. Her business is designed to provide professional training workshops and presentations to organizations, youth groups, and businesses. Helping others reach their full potential as leaders is what she really loves to do.

Her work experience has been in the fields of higher education, child abuse prevention, adult education, newspaper advertisement, college recruitment diversity education and most recently ending a career of 10 years in hospitality as a Hotel Sales Manager.

She has spoken all over the states for national, regional and local events. Just to name a few of her clients they include: Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education, LULAC National Education Service Center, Business & Professional Business Women’s Organizations, Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, United Way & many local sororities, churches and community events.

She has traveled all over the states living several years in Mississippi and Anchorage, Alaska. However, she currently resides in Houston, Texas where she has lived most of her life. She is married, mother of 2 children and the author of the following:
