I am a Physical Therapist at Bay State Physical Therapy in Salem MA, and a women's optional gymnastics coach for North Shore Wildcat's in Beverly, MA. My practice philosophy is based in Sports Medicine and Outpatient Orthopedics with a focus on manual therapy, functional based exercise, and evidenced based practice. I received my doctorate in Physical Therapy and a minor in Psychology in 2013, and will be aiming to obtain my Certified Strength and Conditioning certification later this year. I was involved in competitive gymanstics for 18 years, 4 of which being a member of Springfield College's mens program. I have coached in a variety of gymnastics gyms through the last 10 years, as well as for USGTC and OGC summer camps. I aim to utilize my Physical Therapy education and coaching experience to best serve athletes and people I interact with. Also, I strive to help educate gymnasts and gymnastics coaches about the role and use of Physical Therapy. Over the years I have worked with members of the sport to raise awareness about topics such as safe spotting techniques, injury prevention for athletes and coaches, proper skill technique to increase safety, and the use of gymnastics specific pre-hab to possibly reduce injury risks during training.
