Tim Foley

I am a recent graduate of American University in Washington, DC (SIS '12), and a support specialist at the DC Sustainable Energy Utility. I've always been fascinated by technology, and even though I am an International Relations major, I am always drawn back to the intersection of technology and other disciplines such as sustainability, education, accessibility, and communication.

Ever since I spent a semester at Peking University in Beijing, I've been determined to make my way back to China. There's plenty of interesting work going on related to sustainability, technology, and accessibility that I would love to become involved with, and of course there's my TESOL certificate. Although right now DC is a pretty great place to be.

I like to make, and I like to craft. I've just discovered the joys of home improvement. If you get to know me well enough, I'll force you to listen to my home made cigar box guitar. I apologize in advance.

I am learning Chinese, and I can't wait to go back. My favorite word is "袜子!" (wazi) and my favorite food is 饺子 (jiaozi).

Take a look at my other pages if you want to know about the books I've been reading, photos I've taken, and latest projects.
