Visual Journalist, Filmmaker, and Impact Producer in Twisp, Washington

I'm a photojournalist and filmmaker with expertise on human trafficking, harm reduction, global health, food systems, healthcare, and housing.

I'm also an outdoor adventurer, always looking to the horizon and watching the weather.

The stories I’m most drawn to are impact-focused, authentic, character driven narratives addressing social and environmental justice.

My time behind the camera and in the edit suite taught me the value of pre-production, clear communication, and collaboration. Lately, I’ve been doing remote photo production for a global foundation where teamwork and trusting in the expertise of local content producers is essential to telling the story.

My years in the mountains give me perspective when it comes to hard work, what’s possible, the importance of perseverance and working together.

I'm a World Press, Pictures of the Year and Best of Photojournalism winner, Emmy and Webby nominated, and have won several journalism and social justice impact grants.

I was once Seattle-based, but now live in a small town where I volunteer on town council and spend time in the mountains to stay grounded.
