Tina Photakis
Specialist Teacher and ACCE Vice President in Adelaide, Australia
A well respected, and highly connected educator from Adelaide, South Australia. Passionate about the use of technologies to enhance learning in teaching, Tina has been a long standing member of the committee of the Computers in Education Group of South Australia (CEGSA) now known as EdTechSA.
Tina is well known for her work with ThinkQuest, Greek Language teaching, Project Based Learning (PBL), and the Department for Education (DfE). She's been involved with the trials of the Australian Curriculum for History and Geography and is a well respected member of staff at Cowandilla Primary School.
Tina was also CEGSA Educator of the Year for 2011, State conference convenor, past Vice President and Deputy Chair and Social Convenor of the 26th Australian Computers in Education Conference, which was hosted in Adelaide, South Australia in 2014 for The Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE).
In 2017, Tina received the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Making IT Happen award. She has attended the ISTE conference in the USA for many years, both as an individual delegate, presenter and Affiliate rep of EdTechSA and ACCE.
Tina is now the Immediate Past President of EdTechSA, after many years of service. Tina is currently the Vice President of ACCE.
