I started my first company, Buzz Marketing Group, when I was 16. After 20 years, I'm still lucky enough to be running it. Seven years ago, I started writing a story about a girl named Mackenzie, from Brookdale, California. HarperCollins picked up my side project and turned it into the Mackenzie Blue series, which now has five books - most of which are best-sellers - and a website. I also published my first youth marketing book, Chasing Youth Culture And Getting It Right. I wrote it in a week, and I don't suggest anyone ever do that. Ever. Hopefully people like it. I've been fortunate in my career to win many awards and the media has been kind to me. But really, I'm still just a 16 year old, living the dream, trapped in a 35 year-old's body. Oh yeah...I have two loving parents, five amazing siblings, and one rockstar of a niece. I live in the suburbs of New Jersey with my shoes - and crockpot. Because there's always a reason to pull out a crockpot in Jersey. :)
