Thomas J. Cusick
Software Engineer, Web Developer, and Consultant in McElhattan, Pennsylvania
In my 25+ years of working with computers, I have to say that I enjoy working in the computer field.I believe it was fate when in college I was aimed in the direction of computer programming, instead of my preferred field of study, Engineering.
I've always believed I wanted to be an engineer, like my Father, Uncle and Brothers, but being mistakenly put into the computer field, 25+ years ago, a new path was open and it is one that I am greatful to have been placed upon.
When I was going through college, at Penn State Univ, I started as a Computer Help Desk Technician and Help Desk Team Leader and then leaving college I began the long road of Help Desk / Computer Operator / System Programmer Positions:
from NCACC (Northampton County Area Community College in Bethlehem, PA),
to CHMC (Computer Hardware Maintenance Co in Langhorne, PA),
to OmniComp (State College, PA),
to Penn State University (Main Campus, University Park, PA),
to ServantPC (Dunnstown, PA),
to UFG/Mercer Insurance Group (Lock Haven, PA),
And Current at Shop-Vac (Williamsport, PA)
I love working on the computer. I love playing on the computer.
I am an extremely proud member of one of the oldest fraternities in the world, the FreeMasons. I belong to Labelle Vallee Lodge No 232, Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania in Jersey Shore, PA. I am a Past Master of my lodge and I take great pride in belonging to this organization of wonderful men that I proudly call my Brothers. Also for my lodge I run the Family Fall Festival (http://jsmfff.webs.com) which is an annual event. I am also a Royal Arch Mason, a Knight Templar, and a 32nd Degree of Scottish Rite Masonry.
I live in McElhattan, PA with my wonderful and talented wife, Michelle and our hyper active Cat, Meekers. We also raise Chickens, Rabbits and Bees and have huge garden in the back yard.
I also enjoy helping my wife with her side business (http://starhivehomestead.com) making soaps, salves and lip balms, among other items.
And in our spare time we recently restarted our interest in Geocaching (Handle: Cusick4Cache) (https://www.geocaching.com/).
