Author of The Fight Racket: Inside the World of Professional Boxing. An award winning writer whose work has appeared in The Ring magazine and on various websites including Boxing Scene, Max Boxing and FOX Sports. Tom has won the prestigious Barney Award bestowed by the Boxing Writers Association America for Excellence in Boxing Journalism eleven times. He was an editor of the 2010 book "Tales from the 5th St. Gym: Ali, the Dundees, and Miami's Golden Age of Boxing" written by Muhammad Ali's longtime personal physician, the "Fight Doctor" Ferdie Pacheco. Tom possesses a B.A. in History and Political Science from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and a B.Ed. from the University of Maine. He enjoys competing in triathlons and running races. He resides in Midcoast Maine with his wife Rebecca.
