Tom Gillece

Tom Gillece, Sr. is Founder and President of Gillece Services, a family owned and operated Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Waterproofing company in Pittsburgh. For more than 30 years, Gillece has been a leading provider of quality home services throughout Western Pennsylvania, focusing on emergencies, maintenance, repairs, and replacement 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Gillece Services was founded by Tom Gillece in 1980 when he was just 20 years old. While in high school, Tom began working part-time for a local plumber and attended night school. At the age of 19, he received his journeyman plumbing license. A year later, he passed the Master Plumber exam, becoming the youngest Master Plumber in Allegheny County.

Tom’s beliefs in building and maintaining relationships were at the core of Gillece Services when the business began, which soon evolved into relationships with customers, employees, and others in the professional industry. He has expanded Gillece over the years, from the range of services available, to the number of expert technicians employed, to the current corporate office location, making it one of the largest Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical companies in Pittsburgh today. Tom is often recognized as “The Man on the Van,” pictured waving from the back of Gillece Services’ vehicles throughout town. He is also a familiar face in Gillece commercials with his sidekick, Gilley the Parrot.

In the years since the establishment of Gillece Services, Tom Gillece has built a family of his own, as a husband, father, and grandfather. He has maintained a sense of family and community both personally and professionally, including at the corporate office where he and son Tom Jr. are involved in operations on a daily basis. Gillece currently provides services to seven counties in and around Pittsburgh, making the entire Western Pa. region part of the Gillece community.
