Helping people use the power of Email Marketing and Social Media to grow their business or organization is my passion. And I don’t mean spending hours on Facebook or other networks. My passion is helping other people, and specifically businesses & nonprofits, to use Email Marketing & Social Media properly. So I created Media Barker.

As an Authorized Local Expert, I offer free training webinars and seminars on best practices of various online marketing techniques across the Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania area. I have presented to companies and conferences of all sizes on the subjects of Social Media, Email Marketing, Selling, Leadership, and other aspects of the Internet in general. I specialize in developing and implementing customized Email Marketing & Social Media Marketing strategies that fully integrate your traditional marketing with your online marketing. This includes your Email marketing, Social Media profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.), website, newsletters, radio, TV, newspapers, and anything else you use to promote your business, products, or services.

On the personal side of me, I am very active in the international organization, Rotary. I am the Public Image Director for NY District 7120 and past president for the Elmira Rotary Club. With my lovely wife of 19 years, Shawnie Brown, we also own a Martial Arts school (American Family Karate) and yes I am a Black Belt, and a custom embroidery business (EZ Threadz). And to top it off we are also very active with Higher Hope Church. (I don’t like to be bored.) Oh, and I have two teenage girls.

I like to say, “People that give you an email address EXPECT to get emails from you. It’s your job (or mine) to make it look good, be relevant to THEM, get results, AND make your business money.”

Other life highlights: I am an Eagle Scout. I traveled Europe for 7 years because both of my parents were in the military (I graduated from Bitburg American High School in Germany and the University of Maryland, Munich Germany.) Don’t forget the University of Texas San Antonio. I started the Alpha Phi Omega chapter at UTSA. And I saved a stranger’s life with CPR (Learn CPR yourself!)
