I go by my given middle name; Tomoko.  Just 'Tomoko'.  It is a female name of Japanese origin, so yes, I'm a woman.  No, it is not the name of a gas station (as someone once asked).  I'm in the process of finding a career, at middle age.  I spent the last decade in the hospitality industry.  In 2008, I was replaced at my position as General Manager at a lovely boutique inn on Whidbey Island. In 2010 I became a member of Construction and Textile Advisors for Pierce County.  Currently I'm experimenting with felting and crochet.  I live in Washington state in a small town, in south Puget Sound. It is a wonderful place to live and I feel very fortunate to be here.
