What defines who I am as a person? That daunting question, I've learned, changes with time and experience. For now, I'm a student of the world.

I spent the early years of my childhood in Kingston, Jamaica, a place I still consider home. After moving to the states, you would never find me without a sketchbook in hand, which served as more than a pastime also my means of expression. This childhood passion for art and creativity spurred my interest in the colorful, attention-grabbing world of advertising that my generation has grown up with. This somewhat mysterious industry lives at the intersection of business, technology and creativity–and I hope to make my place there after graduating from the University of Georgia in Spring 2013 with an advertising major and new media certificate. I actually love learning and feeding my curiosity, particularly through hands on experiences.

Currently, as part of the 4A's MAIP Program, I am spending my summer across the country in San Francisco as a strategic planning intern at a global ad agency. Follow my journey at tonidawkins.com
