Toni J. Gomez

Hey there, I'm Toni Gomez.

I currently work for the kickass students of the UC system as their Graduate & Professional Student Advocacy Director. UCSA is working on so many cool things, including keeping education Accessable and Affordable!

I also train true rock stars in the progressive movement in public narrative building - using our stories to inspire others to action. I believe that our stories connect us, create hope, and build our capacity for local change. I have seen that true progress comes from each of us doing what we can, with what we have, right where we are.

In the past I served as a California Senate Fellow for Senator Carol Liu where I staffed issues related to Local Governance and Finance, as well as the Senate Select Committee on Aging and Long Term Care.

During college I worked in Community College policy reform with the Campaign for College Opportunity. I also engaged, organized, and trained Millenials (my peers!) as a field director for the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network.

In my free time you might find me swimming, or cooking while listening to NPR.

I hold a degree in Public Policy from Mills College, where I completed a thesis focused on Career Technical Education.

You are welcome (so welcome!) to contact me via email.
