Tony Brun is leading executive, civil engineer and company director.

He is a recognised leader in infrastructure, management community engagement development and creating strategies, developed through a whole of business approach, which are readily implementable, create value to the organisation and broader community.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the City of Cockburn, a major local government in the Perth metropolitan area in Western Australia.

Tony has held the roles of the Head of Planning at Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne, Chief Strategy Officer at Perth Airport Pty Ltd and the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Greater Geraldton and he also ran a strategic advisory consultancy, Brenta Management Pty Ltd, Chairman of the Curtin University Sustainability Policy (CUSP) Institute and a Non-Executive Director at RAAF Association of WA.

Tony was awarded the prestigious 2012 University of Southern Queensland, Faculty of Engineering and Surveying Alumnus of the Year.

Tony has overseen the master planning, development and community development through reform and implementation of engagement techniques, which improve the liveability of commercial estates and communities as a whole. His projects in Geraldton received international acclaim as a finalist in the Bertelsmann Foundation’s global Reinhard Mohn Prize and winner in the United Nations Environmental Program LivCom Awards 2011 and again a finalist in 2012.

He successfully secured approval of the of the Perth Airport Master Plan 2014 and the Melbourne Airport Master Plan 2018. He has also worked on the planning, concept development and approvals for the new runway projects in Perth ($575m) and Melbourne ($1.8b). At Perth Airport he progressed the delivery of the transformation of T3 to enable international operations and the first ever PER-LHR flights.

Tony also led the Airport related planning and approvals (on Commonwealth land) for the $1.8bn Forrestfield Airport Link (FAL) rail project and the $12bn Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) project.

From an organisational management perspective, Tony has overseen significant cultural and organisational transition programmes includes structural reform, mergers and operational efficiency reviews, in addition to his work in developing corporate strategies which are then executed through simple and effective plans.
