Welcome! I'm Travis Charlton, an ICT professional living and working in the beautiful city of Ballarat, Victoria.
I'm currently employed by B & D Technologies (www.bdtech.com.au) as part of the Corporate Service Team. B & D Technologies is a well established Information Technology company that has been servicing Ballarat and the surrounding region for over ten years. My role involves installing, maintaining and (Sometimes) saving IT networks, as well as hardware and software support for our corporate and domestic customers.
Prior to this I have worked for The Laminex Group managing the ICT networks and systems of two manufacturing plants and the State Revenue Office as a Helpdesk/Service Desk professional.
I'm also a Director of Ballarat ICT Limited (www.ballaratict.com.au), a not-for-profit partnership of industry, government and educational institutions dedicated to sustaining and growing a globally competitive information, communication and technology (ICT) industry in Ballarat.
Beyond my professional roles, I'm also a shocking table tennis player (But I persevere!), a proud Ballarat boy, and a bit of a foodie. You can frequently find me on the weekends having a late breakfast and a nice coffee at one of the many delicious locations in Ballarat and surrounding areas with my very patient and beautiful wife.
