Travis Hopson has been reviewing movies before he even knew there was such a thing. Having grown up on a combination of bad '80s movies, pro wrestling, comic books, and hip-hop, Travis is uniquely positioned to geek out on just about everything under the sun.

In 2008 he joined with partner John Nolan to co-create the Punch Drunk Critics website, a tiny blog that has grown into a driving force of movie reviews and entertainment news in the Washington, DC area. From that point on, Travis has been a consistent presence on the local and national entertainment scene. His work has led to appearances in all forms of media, from The Washington Post to The Arch Campbell Show, and more. Currently, Travis can be seen on TV regularly on PBS' WETA Around Town, a local institution on WETA-TV. He can also be heard every Thursday morning talking movies on WBAL-1090AM's Maryland Morning News Now with Bryan Nemhan. Travis is also a regular contributor on Good Morning Washington on ABC-7.

Travis is currently a voting member of the Critics Choice Association, and a longstanding membr of the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA). He is also a Tomato-Meter approved critic on Rotten Tomatoes, where he is one of the most active reviewers on the site.

After years of co-hosting the Punch Drunk Podcast, Travis launched Cinema Royale, an online radio show hosting literally hundreds of celebrities and film critics from around the world. He continues to be the most prolific film critic on the east coast, reviewing more than 200 movies annually.
