Travis L. Martin is from Clarksdale, MS. Upon graduating from Clarksdale High School in May 2000, Travis accepted a football scholarship to Mississippi Valley State University where he majored in Biology Education. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Travis realized that he had a passion for working in higher education after accepting his first position in Admissions at Mississippi Valley State University. In the Fall 2006, Travis enrolled at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville into the Masters of Education Program in Higher Education Leadership. While studying in Arkansas, Travis gained valuable work experience in higher education in residence life, university development, leadership development, multicultural awareness, etc. Upon graduation in May 2008, Travis began his career at the University of Georgia in residence life as a hall director. In July 2011, he began and currently works as a Senior Coordinator for Greek Life working with both the National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council and coordinates the UGA Greek Ambassador Program. Travis truly enjoys working with students at the university and believes that life is about finding purpose and balancing that purpose with all other joys of life. In the Fall of 2012, Travis began pursuing a Ph.D. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia.
