Tuomas Mäkinen

I am a 28-year old with my roots in Eastern Finland, my fulcrum for now in Helsinki and my branches reaching various places across the world.

I work in the field of marketing communications and like what I do. My job has allowed me to meet smart people, create ideas for interesting brands and realize wonderful projects in my 20s. For my steadily approaching 30s, I hope to see more of the same but add twists and creative spices along the way. And going forward, it should get bigger: I like to think you can't go too fast when you go for things you like.

In my spare time, I enjoy sports, good company and enjoying the arts: a creative mind cannot run on coffee alone, but needs inspiration and outside stimuli. And sure, why not *creating* the arts a little bit, too: creative writing is a dear hobby of mine.

I play to enjoy the game - realism is learning to not expect effortless victories every time (I support Arsenal, so...). I also believe that often there is more to a good song than there is to a book of focused study and research. Put work in where it is needed but don't be fooled into working for something that needs to be allowed to flow.

I am my own work in progress and wouldn't have it any other way.
