Twilla Amin

A southern girl with big city dreams, Twilla Amin Tanyi is the oldest of five children and was born and raised in North Carolina. Whether she was acting, writing, directing for local school and community theaters or putting on shows for her parents in her living room, Twilla has been involved in performing arts ever since she can remember. During her junior year of high school, she auditioned for and was accepted as 1 of 25 students at North Carolina's Governor's School for Theater. Twilla went on to receive her B.A for Media Studies Production and a minor in Dramatic Arts in 2004. She went on to complete two years of study in Howard University's Master of Fine Arts Film and Television Production program. In 2007, Twilla headed out west to Los Angeles, to pursue her passion in entertainment.

Twilla is one half of LackToast Entertainment, a production company she founded with Dion Lack. Her experience in entertainment ranges from writing & development, to casting, to production. Twilla, a talented and passionate writer, has been recognized for her ability by the Disney Writing Fellowship, the Paul Robeson Awards and various bloggers. She has also produced several projects as a freelance producer varying from online promotional for nonprofit organizations to short films made for web and DVD. Twilla approaches every project with a strong sense of ownership, professionalism and passion.
