A visionary leader and an eminent businessman, Ulf Ekberg is currently a Senior Partner and Executive Vice-President at Applied Transactions, providing financial advisory and execution support services covering acquisitions, mergers, operations management, leveraged buy-outs, turnarounds and divestments. With professionals in the US, Europe, and China, Applied provides a comprehensive range of strategy and coordinators of the whole transaction process. Ulf is focused on business development, deal sourcing and government relations while also possessing domain expertise in the Natural Resources, Media and Tech sectors.

While Ulf spent twenty years at the top of the music industry as an artist, producer, song writer, founder and front-man of pop phenomenon Ace of Base, it was his passion and track record for helping businesses grow and operating in global markets that attracted him to focus more on executive board level operations. While a rock star in his own right, Ulf helped drive the business success of his band. He was an early adaptor to technology and learned to program machine code 1982 on a Commodore 64. 96-07: Major shareholder in MTV Produktion. 99-10: Involved in the formation of Result. 01-08: Senior Partner and Executive Director of the fashion brand J.Lindeberg in Asia. 99-02: Ulf was a senior advisor to the Wallenberg bank SEB and its €40m investment in the Volvo Ocean Race. 02-05: Advisor to Nokia on their global Music & Fashion strategy. 1998-today: Senior Partner and Executive Director of G4 Ventures. . Ulf sits on Serendipity Innovations Advisory Board and is the Head of Global Relationships. He is also a part of The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) Asia Program Think-Tank. In addition, he advises developing country-centric non-profits focusing on some of the most persistent global problems, including nature conservation; poverty; and entrepreneurial training for third world.
