Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins

An AP scholar with distinction and a National Merit Scholarship nominee, Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins accomplished a great deal as a high school student at San Diego, California’s Canyon Crest Academy. In addition to earning her varsity letter as a tennis player, she was a member of the rookie Canyon Crest robotics team that qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge nationals. Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins was also involved in Canyon Crest’s musical theater program and performed a song with piano accompaniment at her graduation ceremony.

A student of dramatic literature, theatre history, and cinema at New York University, Ms. Csordas-Jenkins served as an unpaid intern at the literary agency Kuhn Projects. In April of 2013, she volunteered as a member of the screenings crew at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins was the Assistant Stage Manager for “Miami Is Sinking - Pastelito Guerreras,” a an end of the world dark comedy play by Thomas Valls. The premier performance was July 12, 2014 at Dixon Place in New York.

Vanessa has also begun a serious study of comedy techniques by enrolling in classes at the Upright Citizens’ Brigade in New York. Workshops feature sketch comedy and improvisation and provide the opportunity to create original material in an interactive environment. Mutual feedback and critique lead to loads of laughs.

Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins raises funds for her continuing education as an employee of American Apparel. Since joining the company in July of 2013, she has been promoted from sales associate to cashier.
