A multiple award-winning New Orleans stage and television veteran for nearly three decades, and former member of Actors' Equity Association, Vatican Lokey made his career originating roles in the New Orleans premieres of such musicals as "Grand Hotel" (The Baron), "Falsettos" (Whizzer), "Chess" (Freddie Trumper), "The Frogs" (Pluto), "The Drowsy Chaperone" (Aldolpho), and the American premiere of the British musical "Scandalous!" (John Galsworthy.) Throughout his career, he has worked with Broadway, film & TV stars such as Hal Linden, Timothy Jerome, Tim Robbins, Sarah Charles Lewis, Sawyer Nunes, Emma Roberts, and more.

Since 1996, he has appeared every Carnival season as Professor Carl Nivale on WWL-TV's Morning Show, alongside Grand Marshal Marty Graw, Lokey's husband, theatre icon Edward R. Cox. They are Sprinkles & Tinsel, Santa's Craziest Elves, and the stars of the annual Very Merry Holly Daze Special, produced each year by NOLA Voice Theatre. NVT is dedicated to the art, preservation, and performance of voice and radio theatre benefiting nonprofit theatres. Most recently, they co-produced the 30th anniversary of the hit New Orleans family musical “Treehouse Players' Rapunzel” at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.

Lokey is featured in the books "The Soul of the City: Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre" by Dr. Rebecca Hale, and the biography "Just Who is Stocker Fontelieu, Anyway?" by Michael Cahill.Lokey originated the roles of Beth/Bob and the 82nd Airborne Commander for the concept cast recording and early stage productions of "Nine Lives". On film, he appeared in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". Lokey & Cox were also featured in the documentary "30 Days In The Bowl".

On TV, he's had roles on "Common Law", "Treme," "Final Witness," "American Horror Story: Coven", and "Scream Queens." He was also featured in the promos and opening credits for Top Chef New Orleans on Bravo, as well as local commercials.
