Vicky Cohran

My name is Vicky Cohran, I am currently attending Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, working on a Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business. I currently reside in Villa Rica, Ga. Ever since I can remember, my interests have always been in the entertainment industry including television, music and film. I am currently a talent scout for CNS Production, helping them nurture any new talent. This has helped give me extensive knowledge on the film industry and has given me more knowledge about how the industry works. I am also currently the co-owner of West Ga Accounting, and the financial manager for NEC Photography.

I became licensed 19 years ago with the FCC as a licensed armature radio operator. I am a weather spotter for The National Weather Service in Peachtree City. I was the secretary/treasurer for The West Georgia Amateur Radio Society. Although this may not directly relate to my desire to be a talent manager, given that it is still in the entertainment industry, I get to interact with various people in different fields of the entertainment industry. This gives me varying perspectives on how the industry works. Furthermore, it gives me great experience on customer service and communication skills, which is a must if anyone hopes to make it in the entertainment industry.

I grew up with the passion to give back to the community and make a difference in any way I could, a reason why I often volunteer with such agencies as The American Red Cross in Disaster Relief, Carroll County EMA. I have provided communications in times of disaster, have helped out on searches for missing people.

I am a quick learner, always eager to help and learn, and have often viewed myself as a great problem solver. I believe that all it takes for one to attain what he or she wants in life and career is passion for what one does, hard work and approaching everything that comes one’s way with a positive attitude. My number one goal in life has always been to be a successful talent manager, and so far, I believe that I am on the right track.
