Venture Farm Maine

Venture Farm of Pownal, Maine, provides excellent equestrian training and care in a beautiful setting. Co-owners Ginger Klingenstein-Albert and Mike Albert make their home on Venture Farm’s 50 acres of land, providing individualized care to each horse. Ginger Klingenstein-Albert has over 30 years of experience in preparing horses and riders for national and international competitions. In the past, Klingenstein-Albert has trained zone medal winners, as well as finalists and ribbon winners at all of the major medal finals in the country. She has also trained numerous horses to zone championships. At Venture Farm, she works with riders as young as 3, teaching both the joys of horsemanship and the skills necessary for competitive riding.

Venture Farm offers a wide range of programs for riders of all skill levels. Ginger Klingenstein-Albert teaches half-hour and hour-long, private as well as semi-private lessons, in both the indoor and outdoor arenas. Venture Farm also provides a show program for students interested in competitive riding. Riders can participate in beach rides or trail rides through the farm’s wooded areas. Hunter and jumper training programs are also available.

Horses boarded at Venture Farm, Maine, live in well-maintained, state-of-the-art facilities. The barn has a complete sprinkler system to ensure safety. The insulated stalls measure 10 feet by 12 feet and have rubber mat flooring for the horses' comfort. The main barn includes an indoor wash area with hot and cold running water.

Venture Farm provides all-day turnout for all its horses. Horses may spend their time outside alone or in groups, in sand or grass paddocks. Essentials such as all feed, blanket and boot application and removal, fly masks, and fly spray are included in the boarding rates. Horses are also put on a regular worming program.
