Veronica Guerra was born to Cuban parents in Elizabeth, New Jersey and at a very young age took up painting and playing musical insruments. Being the daughter of a professional photographer, she is a natural artist and perfectionist at heart. Growing up in a house where cooking was very much a part of daily life, she began taking an interest in it- constantly watching cooking programs where she learned techniques and styles from different cultures.

Being an undecided college student, and finding herself extremely drawn to any program on television having to do with cooking, she realized this was her true calling. She soon decided to enroll in Johnson and Wales' Culinary program where she refined her skill and expertise in the kitchen. Just after starting school, wanting to gain some real experience, she got her first job as a pastry cook for renowned chef Norman Van Aken where she learned the challenges of working in the industry. She went on to expand her skills, working for star chefs like Cynthia Hutson of Ortanique on the Mile in Miami and Emeril Lagasse.

After putting in her time and sacrafice in the restaurant industry and learning different trends and techniques, Veronica decided it was time to do what she knew she was born to do- work as a home chef. Veronica's heart is in making people happy through her natural love of cooking anything from indulgent cuisine to vegan meals and everything in beween!
