After my high school education I left at age 19 to India to search for Ayurveda education. I had decided to study Ayurvedic healing. My search led me to the drs. Pankaj and Smita Naram from Bombay. At that time they had three clinics in Bombay. Many thousands of patients came there for ayurvedic treatment. I studied with the drs. Naram for more than four years. After I had finished my studies with the Narams I went back to The Netherlands. Here I decided to studie allopatic medicine to compliment the Ayurveda study. At age 32 I became a medical doctor. Since that time I have been solely practicing ayurvedic medicine. At his time I am working in an ayurvedic clinic in Rotterdam, the Netherlands: www.ayurvedakliniek.nl. In this clinic we work with a team of professionals and offer a diverse range of ayurvedic therapies. One of the specialty treatments is the ayurvedic treatment of diabetes and obesity. We have developped a program for this which is called 'Diabese' (www.diabese.nl)
