I have been following my spiritual path since 1970. I taught Ashtanga Yoga, including yoga and meditation for several years. I love to meditate, to read, to write, and to walk and run around a forested lake by my beautiful mountain-side home. I love learning how I can heal myself through my own thoughts, exercise, yoga, and meditation. I am a recluse though I love to connect with people.

I learned traditional baby massage in India in 1973. After a few years of research and having my first baby in 1976, I developed a curriculum to teach other parents. I taught and spoke keynote addresses at several conferences and had my second baby.

I wrote INFANT MASSAGE, A HANDBOOK FOR LOVING PARENTS, which was published by Random House/Bantam in 1979 and revised/updated several times since. I wrote an entirely new edition which was released by Random House in July, 2017.

I trained a group of childbirth educators to become Certified Infant Massage Instructors (in the USA, Certified Educators of Infant Massage); then trained, dedicated experienced instructors to be Trainers of instructors. We now have an over 50-member Circle of Trainers around the world.

I am the founder (since 1978) of the International Association of Infant Massage and I continue to be active, writing and advising. Our non-profit organization now has 75 chapters worldwide; my book is translated into 16 languages, the latest foreign rights sold to a publisher in Viet Nam.

I spent over 20 years making art quilts and garnered many "Best of Show" prizes and my quilts were hung in art galleries and American Embassies around the world.
