Vincent Boon

London, United Kingdom.

Vincent's aim is to transform the way businesses communicate with customers

Arguably the leading expert in the burgeoning world of community management, giffgaff’s head of community, Vincent Boon, has turned his attentions and talents since 2012 to a new operating business, Standing on Giants. The B2B proposition launched with the mission to be global leaders in serviced community management, essentially enabling businesses access to the magic ingredients that have made giffgaff such a success story since its launch in 2009.

Prior to giffgaff, Boon’s career had focused on the computer games industry. After graduating from Utrecht School of the Arts with an MA in Gaming, he worked as an animator at NOB Virtual Productions and then Eidos where he gained his first taste of community management. This led to a community coordinator and community team leader role at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe where he spent four years before being poached to join giffgaff.

Two years and several awards later – including Winner of the Forrester Groundswell award 2010 - Embracing category in the International Business-to-Consumer (B2C) division – Boon has teamed up with Robbie Hearn, giffgaff’s head of member experience, to launch Standing on Giants.
Boon is a passionate advocate for the power of customer-centric business and community management in transforming customer experiences.

In his spare time Vincent can be found relieving opponents of their chips at the poker table and hitting the road in his Collectors’ Edition 1982 Chevrolet Corvette.
