Virginia L. Beach

Louisville, Kentucky

Virginia L. Beach (the person, not the place) is a native Hoosier who grew up on the banks of the Ohio River. Born deaf into an all-hearing family, she was raised oral and attended hearing schools. Virginia began learning sign language in her mid-teens and then a chance meeting with a Deaf man changed her life. "Gin" went on to gain a degree from Gallaudet University and to a career in the social services field. As a High Priestess of the Wiccan tradition Virginia has been walking the Pagan Path for over thirty years. A writer and an aspiring author, Gin is currently working on her first book - "My Goddess Wears Hearing Aids" - a creative nonfiction in which she explores the merger of her identity as a Deaf woman with her spirituality as a Pagan. After living and working in various states, Virginia currently makes her home in Louisville, Kentucky.
