I am a stable isotope geochemist interested in Holocene environmental change. My work has focuses on the reconstruction of past climates (c. 10,000 years) using productivity proxies from lake and ocean sediments.

My recent research focuses on the silicon cycle and applying this novel proxy to trace nutrient dynamics in riverine, lake and coastal regions. This is in order to help mitigate against future climate change and understand better carbon storage potentials.
