My current research focus is in Bioinformatics. I am working on developing novel machine learning techniques to predict shRNA's in silico to use as candidates for Gene silencing for cancer drug therapies along with providing statistical and bioinformatics expertise in a cancer genetics lab.

My post doctoral research has encompassed the analysis of Microarray, RNA-Seq, Chip-ChIP and Chip-Seq Data. It entailed developing novel algorithms for Short Read Assembly and using Support Vector Machines to predict Matrix Attachment Regions in plants.

I have had 2 startups so far. Both have failed but I have learnt a lot from them. I am currently working on 2 more at the time. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to share ideas on startups or need some ideas about getting the phase 0 started for your startup!
