I am a scholar of Early Modern English literature and culture, teaching quite a number of English-related subjects at St. Tikhon Orthodox University, Moscow. I am mainly interested in the formation of the early modern public sphere, theatre and literature working together, self-fashioning, imagination of the other and other forms of destructive creation.

I am also a big fan of F(L)OSS and indie music. I consider myself lucky to be studying authors with works long in public domain :)
