Pushkar Waghdhare

As a child my dad once told me:

“Son, try to be extraordinary at whatever you do. Never follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.”

Those words of wisdom have stuck with me down the years and have shaped me into the successful individual I am today. They were, are and will be the reason why Pushkar Waghdhare has been a force to reckon with all these years and will continue being so.

Right from school I have been a go getter. I have never backed out of competition and taking responsibility head on. Academia and Education is something which I have always given top most priority in my life. I have always excelled at studies be it in school or college having topped my school 6 consecutive times, standing 120th in the State out of 3.3 lakh student in my high school and being in the top 20% of my class during my B.Tech days.

Education I believe is a gift everyone should enjoy. In order to realize this very thought, I have been active in taking education to the society. While in college, I was one of the founders of an initiative known as ‘Pratigya’ whose sole aim was to take Technology to the schools so that little children start dreaming early and put their creative minds to work. Besides this I have been an active member of ‘Dharma Bharti Mission’ and ‘Deloitte School on Wheels’ programs which are both initiatives taken up to educate underprivileged kids. My interaction with these kids has enriched my life and given it a new perspective. Their innocence and smiles give me strength even today.

Coming to my professional career, I am working as a Senior Business Analyst in one of the most sought after organizations in the world ‘Deloitte’. My journey at Deloitte has been nothing short of spectacular be it handling one of its premier Tax Projects, or representing my Team at Dallas, Texas for a release or receiving awards for Professional excellence on many occasions. I am proud to say I have been a great team player and a valuable asset to the projects I have worked on or the company in general. I am currently an active part of the Employee Advisory Council, Event Organizing council, Campus Hire Mentoring Program and Deloitte Lawn Tennis Teams.

I have been blessed with a great sense of humor as my friends tell me and I love to be the life of the group I am hanging out with. It is something that gives me immense joy and pleasure. Besides this I am highly accomplished at Painting and Sketching which will be
